"พระองค์ผู้ประทานพืชแก่คนที่หว่าน และประทานอาหารแก่คนที่กิน
จะทรงโปรดให้พืชของท่านที่หว่านแล้วนั้นทวีขึ้นเป็นอันมาก และ
จะทรงให้ผลแห่งความชอบธรรมของท่านเจริญยิ่งขึ้น" (2 โครินธ์9:10)
พอไถสวนเสร็จก็บรรจงหว่านเมล็ดถั่วลงไป พอฝนฤดูใบไม้ผลิตกตามฤดูกาล
บวกกับการเอาใจใส่ดูแลอย่างถูกต้อง สวนถั่วของเราก็เจริญงอกงาม เราเก็บถั่วสดไว้บรรจุกระป๋องได้
50 ถังและยังมีเหลือแจกจ่ายแก่ผู้อื่นอีกหลายถัง เมื่อผลผลิตในสวนลดลงและวัชพืชเริ่มงอกงาม
ผมจึงตัดสินใจไถกลบต้นถั่วที่เหลืออยู่อีกประมาณสองสัปดาห์หลังจากฝนตกลงมาเมล็ดถั่วแก่ๆ ที่ถูกไถกลบก็งอกขึ้นมาเป็นของแถม ถึงแม้ตอนนี้จะเลยฤดูเก็บถั่วไปแล้วแต่เรายังสามารถแบ่งปันถั่วจำนวนมากแก่ผู้อื่นได้พระคัมภีร์สอนเรื่องการเป็นพยานเพื่อพระเจ้าทุกแห่งที่เราอาศัยอยู่และบังเกิด
ผลดีพระเยซูทรงใช้ธรรมชาติและชีวิตประจำวันเป็นอุปมาสอนความจริงฝ่ายวิญญาณไว้หลายเรื่อง ในพระธรรมมัทธิวบทที่ 13 พระองค์ทรงพูดถึงการหว่านเมล็ดพืชลงในดินดีว่าเหมือนกับคนที่ฟังพระวจนะแล้วรับไว้ย่อมเกิดผลดีเป็นร้อยเท่า
พระเจ้าจะทรงช่วยเราให้เจริญเติบโตและเกิดผลให้เป็นประจักษ์พยานเรื่องแผ่นดินของพระเจ้าเหมือนคำอุปมาเรื่องเมล็ดพืชที่หว่านลงในดินซึ่งเตรียมไว้ดีจะเกิดผลดี พระเยซูทรงเตือนว่าเราไม่ได้เป็นผู้เลือกพระองค์ พระองค์ต่างหากที่ทรงเลือกเราให้ไปเกิดผลยั่งยืนถาวร (ดู ยอห์น 15:16) และสามารถแบ่งปันผลนี้แก่ผู้อื่นได้
อธิษฐาน : ข้าแต่พระเจ้าแห่งฟ้าสวรรค์ ของทรงช่วยข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายให้มีความกล้า
พร้อมทั้งปัญญาและความซื่อสัตย์ในการเป็นพยาน ในนามพระเยซูคริสต์เจ้า อาเมน

"He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness."

The soil was tilled and the seeds carefully planted. The spring rains were timely, and with proper care our garden flourished. We canned 50 jars of green beans and were able to provide buckets of beans to others. When the yield slowed and the weeds started to thrive, I decided to till the ground, turning under what remained. More good rains followed, and in about two weeks volunteer beans began to grow where the tilling process had planted mature seeds. Now, though it is past the normal season for beans, we are able again to share this bountiful crop with others.
The Bible has many teachings on bearing fruit as witnesses for God wherever we are. Jesus used parables about nature or daily life to teach spiritual truth. In Matthew 13, he described the one who receives seed on the good ground as someone who hears and accepts the word and bears fruit, even a hundredfold. Just as God provided the bountiful crop in the prepared garden in the parable,
God will help us to grow and mature and become fruitful witnesses to the Kingdom. Jesus reminds us that we did not choose him, but he chose us to go and bear fruit that will last. (See John 15:16.) Then we are able to share this fruit with others.
Prayer : Lord of heaven, help us to be bold, wise, and faithful in our witness. Amen.
